About NAD+

NAD+ (β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, oxidized form) is a dinucleotide coenzyme found in all living cells. It is not a peptide and is offered here as a research biochemical.

It acts as a hydride acceptor in dehydrogenase-catalysed redox reactions and is consumed as a substrate by sirtuins, PARPs and CD38, so it is a standard reagent in enzyme kinetics and redox-ratio studies.

Common research areas

  • Dehydrogenase enzyme kinetics
  • Sirtuin and PARP activity assays
  • NAD⁺/NADH redox-ratio studies
  • Cellular bioenergetics models

Descriptions are general scientific background for laboratory researchers. They are not claims of safety, efficacy or suitability for any use in humans or animals.

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.

Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-NAD-500-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
