About MOTS-c
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide (MRWQEMGYIFYPRKLR) encoded by a short open reading frame within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene.
It belongs to the mitochondrial-derived peptides (MDPs), a class of signaling peptides encoded in the mitochondrial genome. Laboratory studies have examined its translocation to the nucleus and its interaction with AMPK-related pathways in cell models.

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.
Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-MOT-10-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
